Harald is a seasoned developer, primarily focused on C++ but proficient in other programming languages. He has created software for all major operating systems, using a wide range of tools and technologies, contributing to numerous projects across diverse industries. Alongside his development work, Harald has also provided training in software development.

Over time, he developed a strong interest in automated build systems, testing, and CI/CD setups, addressing C++ challenges in build systems and dependency management. He has created solutions to improve the developer experience for teams he’s collaborated with.

Harald is dedicated to fostering productive environments for individuals and teams, believing that a supportive workspace enhances both product quality and team performance. As a structured and self-organized individual, he values collaboration and the exchange of ideas within a team

Harald organizes StockholmCpp, the C++ user group in Stockholm, and initiated SwedenCpp. He is promoting open knowledge sharing within the community and beyond through platforms like the SwedenCpp homepage and the SwedenCpp YouTube channel.

Occasionally, he writes blog posts on his blog, with his popular bitbake tutorial as a notable example of his documentation style.

In 2021, Harald initiated a Swedish mirror of the ISO subcommittee for programming languages, serving as convener of SIS TK611/AG09 and as a member of the Swedish WG21 expert group for ISO C++ standardization.

He participates in various open-source projects, with his contributions available on GitHub. Occasionally, Harald gives presentations, many of which are available on YouTube, primarily but not exclusive on C++ topics.
